Maid of Kent

There are so many things to make, I'll never do it all. One day it's a bag, the next it's a sofa throw, then it could be anything else.

Like most sewists I've been making something or other since I was very young. Jewellery is a more recent love and I tend to make more classic pieces.

I love bright fabrics with geometric designs, but I use other fabrics and styles too.

Patchwork, cot quilts, throws, bags, cushion covers, bean bags (for the grandchildren - they really do love those), book covers. The list goes on.

I love words like 'natural', 'organic', 'free trade', 'independent', 'upcycled', 'recycled'. I try and look after the planet and compost and recycle whenever I can.

I hope you will look through my shop and find something you like for yourself, or to give as a gift to a loved one. I aim to add new items weekly, so if you don't see anything today, please look back again soon.

Buying from me

All my items are made by me. I don't have equipment or machinery to mass-produce, so everything is made individually.

Stock items will be posted within three working days of receipt of payment.. Custom orders will take longer, depending on the availability of fabric/components.

All items will be sent by Royal Mail First Class Signed For, and will require a signature at destination.

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.
