My name is Matias, I travel around the UK in my van with my girlfriend and my cat Chiabeani. I fell in love with the simplicity and beauty of wood carving and whittling whilst at Uni in Brighton. Since graduating I have pursued my dream of traveling, living simply and carving wood.

Wood carving in the van means my access to power tools is limited, so most of what I make is with carving knives only. This is a much more natural form of woodcraft, one in which I can more easily enter the flow state.

Buying from me

In keeping with traditional nordic slöjd woodcraft, I try not to use power tools in creating my necklaces, ornaments, spoons and sculptures. Using hand tools is a longer but much more rewarding experience, where I find it easier to enter the flow state.

This freedom from power cables allows me to travel around the UK and Europe in my van with my girlfriend and my cat Chiabeani!

Returns Policy

You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.
