I melt glass and make beads, bowls, bottle spoon rest, anything really that melts!!!!

My name is Helen Mitchell and I live in Deeping St James near Peterborough.  I have been beadmaking since December 2005, my husband bought me a starter kit for Christmas after I had been hinting for several months after seeing a demonstration at a bead fair.  I started off with a basic kit and a hot head torch in my dining room and quickly I knew this for me.  I have since progressed to a high tech studio and equipment perfect for quality lampwork.

I work part time as a receptionist in a busy secondary school in Peterborough which gives me all the school holidays to concentrate on melting glass.

I am married to Jason and we have four girls between us, they are now young adults and we are very proud of them.  I  also love my pets too I have a mad border collie called Mags, one rather crazy black cat called ru, cuddly ragdoll cat called Spot and Sweet quiet Blaze.
