Bright, affordable artworks inspired by Dartmoor, Devon.

The beautiful area of Dartmoor where I live with my partner and very old goldfish inspires me on a daily basis. In this shop you can buy paintings, drawings and collages that draw on this inspiration, often in an experimental way. These are all made using good quality materials, oils, acrylics and found elements from the landscape. A lot of the smaller paintings will be made "on the move", either in the landscape itself or on trains. I might start a design after seeing a particular shape or pattern whilst on a walk and then finish it off in my studio. I keep copious notebooks where I can experiment with techniques.

Ever since being a child I have made things and painted. My first picture was a huge clown that hung over our dining table at home - probably not helping the digestive process! I went to art college in Exeter as a mature student and was exposed to a variety of different techniques such as photography, ceramics and arc welding. Since graduating, I have been in many exhibitions around the South West and had solo exhibitions in Moretonhampstead and Exeter.

These artworks are unique and individual. They often refer abstractly to the amazing history of Dartmoor and I try and think as sustainably as possible when it comes to the framing (often using recycled frames) and the packaging (recycling packaging materials as much as possible).
