I use knitting as therapy and Knitted Knonsense came abut as a direct result of not being able to move around the house without stumbling over knitted creatures.

I find knitting very mindful and therapeutic. It also means I have a legitimate excuse to gaze at wool online for hours without making me look weird.
Being a knitting addict also means I can indulge my passion for making things, particularly weird and wonderful.
Unfortunately this has a direct impact on the amount of liveable space in my house. Although i live alone, I may have to move into the garden shed if I don't manage to sell a large quantity of creatures living upstairs beside the wool and stuffing mountain.
As a life long animal lover, most of my projects are animals, but I am open to suggestions for other items to try.
I started knitting as a child, and don't seem to have stopped. Chronic health condition means I spend long periods of time in the house, so it gives me something on which to focus. I lose myself in the rhythm of knitting and often don't notice it has got dark, or I have 'forgotten' to get dressed. If my concentration isn't up to being able to knit, I just resort to looking at all things knitting online, flicking through my various books or patterns, or if all else fails, touching wool. I've just read that through, and am thinking of googling local therapists.
