I am a maker currently based in a small village outside of Banchory, in Aberdeeenshire, Scotland. I live with my husband, teenager and our two cats, my daughter is currently living her best life working the ski season in Canada - and until recently I worked as a Primary School teacher sharing my love of all things art and making.
I love working in a variety of mediums, and most recently I have worked primarily with lino, improving my skills as well as experimenting with different methods. I also like to get out the sewing machine and use applique methods alongside free motion embroidery to create pictures. I love to get the paintbrush out and work in watercolours to create unique handpainted cards and images to place onto mugs and coasters.
I take my inspiration from nature and a love of water and the mountains - my favourite places in the world are Cornwall and Scotland, or hiding away in my studio.
