Hi,
I’m kim and I’m a self taught jewellery designer/maker. I started around 10 years ago when I took a class on making a silver ring and I just got hooked. I began by making jewellery for myself and as gifts for family and friends. As my confidence and love for the art grew so did my jewellery collection! ( There is only so much jewellery a girl can wear) So, after some persuasion by friends I decided to see if I could sell some of my work. Since then I have gone from strength to strength but my best selling items were always my toe rings so I decided to dedicate my Folksy shop just to these.
I get most of my inspiration from my surroundings and living a stones throw from the beach and with the Sussex Downs sweeping behind there is plenty to get inspired by.
Every toe ring I make is handcrafted in my small studio. Each ring is cut by hand, hand textured, filed, sanded and polished by myself (and occasional help from willow, my beloved cat.) I love the process of taking raw materials and making them into a beautiful piece of jewellery that will last.
