Happy New Year 2023
Here are some things just listed by other crafters and sellers on Folksy.
I started to crochet a few years ago as a hobby to fit in between looking after my family and home and quickly grew to love it. As a teenager I loved doing all sort of crafts, including bobbin lace, and perhaps it was a memory of bobbin lacemaking that drew me towards crochet lace patterns, where coloured yarn rather than thread can create gorgeous modern fashion accessories.
Now definitely not a teenager, I live in Berkshire near the beautiful Windsor Great Park, with my husband, one of our two daughters and our rough collie dog Kilew. We are a family of countryside, garden and wildlife lovers, all with a strong creative streak.
For me, accessories complete an outfit; and I love to create and wear infinity or circle scarves, sometimes called cowls, which hang in a loop as the two ends are joined together. Fine, hand-dyed sock yarns combined with lace crochet patterns produce beautiful, soft and light cowls which I like to think of as necklaces! Merino and Alpaca yarns are my favourite wools to work with as they are so soft and comfortable to wear. For summer wear, or for those who prefer not to wear wool, I also produce lightweight cowls in pretty cotton yarns.
The other main part of my range is beautiful crochet mandala wall hangings, usually with a distinct floral look, as I love flowers. I use cotton yarn and choose colours carefully to achieve cheerful and pretty mandalas to bring a touch of summer to your walls.
