Hi! My name is Katie and I run the brand 'Katie Oldhaus'. I started out in 2013 when both my girls started full time education. All my products are handmade to order and printed in my workshop based in rural North Bedfordshire.
After graduating in 1996 with a BA Hons Textile Design and Surface Decoration at Buckinghamshire College of Brunel University, I did a bit of travelling and worked at various roles before settling to have children and start my creative business in 2013.
I geta lot of her inspiration from William Morris, the Fauvist and Surrealist movements, Sixties and Seventies, typography, pop art, David Hockney, Vivienne Westwood, Gucci, history and my contemporary fellow artists and designers. As you can probably tell - I love colour and bold patterns!
All products are designed and made by me in my rural North Bedfordshire workshop and are very proudly printed and handmade in the UK.
I work full time on my creative business and I am very much involved in every process from designing my website to packing and processing orders, printing, painting and sewing to (most importantly!) making the tea!
