All of my pieces are made by me in my home that I often refer to as my workroom AKA "the good sitting room" .

All items will be dispatched within 1-3 working days of purchasing By Royal Mail.

All items will come wrapped in tissue and I can wrap individually if any items are gifts, just let me know at time of ordering.

Upon dispatch, I will keep you updated as to the postage service I have used and tracking numbers where appropriate.

In an effort to avoid packaging going to landfill, I endeavour to use donated and used packaging where I can - this may include materials kindly donated to me from my local community.

I love to design and make stylish accessories from my home workroom (also known as the good sitting room).I have always drawn and knitted since I was a child, I would save all of my pocket money until I had enough to buy odd balls of yarn or drawing materials.

I adore hats and I get a lot of pleasure in creating the most gorgeous hats for others to enjoy. I spend most days knitting and designing collections in my workroom, followed by evenings of knitting in front of the television. I have so many designs and collections in my head and I love knitting them into finished pieces. I love each finished item and I sometimes struggle to let them go to a new home.

When I'm not being creative I'm usually walking my two dogs The Two Buddies, we are lucky enough to live in Lanark and we enjoy walking and exploring the local countryside and New Lanark. They are real characters and have been a great support to me through this pandemic in an ever changing world we live in.

I studied Interior Design at Glasgow College of Building and Printing. I have had a varied working career from Show Home/Private Clients Interior designer to running my own 4 star Bed & Breakfasts. For the last 15 years I have been a Retail Manager and Buyer for retail operations and for the last 4 years I was Retail Manager and Buyer at New Lanark World Heritage Site. Part of my job at New Lanark was the textile yarn operations whereby I managed and developed the yarn business. I developed a large range of goods using their yarn and I designed yarn colour shades which was very interesting and exciting. I also hosted knitting and needle felting classes that were always great fun and I would always pick up a new technique and skill after each one. The yarn/creative community is so varied and interesting and I'm now fortunate enough that I knit full time and I love it!

I opened my Folksy shop in October 2020, steadily developing a collection of stylish, easy to wear knitted accessories. I use bold and modern colour combinations and each item usually has a signature Pom Pom. I love making Pom Pom's and I can spend hours snipping and clipping until each one is a thing of beauty.

You can be assured that all my products are made from quality materials with years of expertise and experience going into them. I designed the pattern for the New Lanark Tammy I own the Copyright and Patent for this product and I have the pattern available to buy in my shop, I offer full support for anyone who wants to try this pattern to knit at home for themselves. I use a varied selection of yarn and I try and use Pure Wool as much as I can. I do use a lot of yarn from New Lanark as it is produced less than 5 minutes from my house but I do support other small yarn producers as I like to offer a good variety of colours and textures. I have just received a new delivery of baby Alpaca yarn so watch tis space for new items being launched.

A new range I am working at the moment is on kits that will offer patterns and yarn that you can try out at home so watch this space.
