Buying from me
My work combines my knowledge of traditional Japanese print making techniques with a distinctly western approach to image making.
The prints have been created from original drawings and then hand carved onto a wooden plate.
Using the traditional woodcut technique, the ink is hand rolled onto the carved plate and then rubbed through - (burnished) by hand onto fine Japanese paper.
Each print is unique and individual. Due to the hand burnished process there are slight variations in the weight and texture of ink - no two are the same.
The wood block has been carved by myself.
I draw upon the natural world, and focus on fleeting moments in time for my inspiration.
The edition number of the print is on the bottom left, and on the bottom right it is signed next to the personalized red stamp carved out of marble with my logo.

The print will be wrapped securely in acid free tissue paper and rolled in a sturdy tube for postage.
