Welcome to Wonky Cottage - my name is Fiona and I'm a lifelong sewing fanatic.
Wonky Cottage was born in the aftermath of a divorce, as a way to put extra money on the table when I became a single parent. It also helped fund my secret fabric stash, but we all have our faults and mine is fabric based!
The shop name stems from my first home, post separation - it was a 350 year old cottage that Shakespeare would have recognised, with lots of beams, draughts and wonky walls. It was impossible to hang a mirror or picture without constantly trying to straighten it. When the wind blowed, so did the curtains, but once the log burner was fired up it was my idea of heaven. Somehow the name Wonky Cottage just fitted me and my business, and it stuck.
