Handmade Eco Friendly Sustainable Clothing and Accessories

Dear kindred spirits,

I started sewing at an early age, my Gran Ivy, bought me my first sewing machine at the age of eight and I've been sewing ever since!

My background is theatrical, I have a passion for history and nature and so I love to create things that conjour feelings and emotions and that have an essence of nostalgia.

The 'Ivy Bird and me' vision is to evoke passion and dreams of living a nostalgic and free spirited way of life, to encourage individuality and self-expression through lovingly handmade garments, using natural fabrics and colours.

I love the natural rawness of linen especially when left creased and the feeling of 'the old days' it gives me. I chose not to overlock the seam edges of my garments in order to retain a raw natural and more historical look.

It is very important to me that my business practices with as minimal negative impact to the environment as possible. I aim to use sustainable fabrics of mostly linen and organic cotton and where ever possible using eco friendly and natural dyes. Items will be sent in eco friendly packaging.

As I am a vegan, you can feel confident in knowing that any profits made from purchases do not contribute towards any animal cruelty.
