My name is Rachel. I am 58 years old and blessed with children and grandchildren. 3 years ago my daughter Emily and I opened the community arts shop Inspired in Taunton, Somerset. All ages of creatives use our shop to make and create and celebrate life events through crafting. My Gran started me knitting at such a young age in fact I cant actually remember when I didn't know what knitting needles are for. Sewing, crocheting, knitting have been my constant companions throughout my life and saved me a lot of money when raising my children. Nowadays I sell all sorts of personally made items through our shop Inspired and I am finally catching up with the times through selling online (although you are very welcome to ring our shop and I can discuss an item with you and give you a little live video of the item through Whatsapp to make sure that you have a personal touch)

I take a huge pride in what I create and believe that creations made with a good spirit are not only excellently made but have their own magic and power. A hand knitted blanket has a power and strength all of its own. These are not just selling words. This is my belief and the experience of seeing the lives of friends, family and customers improve and grow when they are surrounded by or wearing or cuddled up in a properly created hand made item.

All of my wears come with our Unique Dragonfly Emblem and our Special Edition Items come with a Certificate of Making and most importantly a brief explanation of the history of the crafts or item which can be lovely as a part of a gift . All ages like to know the specialness of what is in their hands.

My spiritual roots are in the history of creating and making as are your roots too which is why you have been drawn here.
