I make bright, bold, beautiful lampwork glass beads, which I sell for other artists to use in their creations. I also make jewellery, combining my handmade glass beads with seed beads, ribbons, or wire, to make unusual, eye-catching jewellery creations.

I've been making jewellery since I was a child, playing with beads, buttons, and any bits of wire I could get my hands on. I have had three big "wow!" moments in my jewellery-making life. The first was way back in the 1990's, when I walked into a bead shop in Palo Alto, California, and fell in love with all the colours, shapes and textures. The next was picking up a book on seed bead weaving in my home town of Bristol, and realising that these tiny little beads could be the basis of amazing art works. My last, and enduring love affair has been with lampwork, which I first encountered in 2006, and which has inhabited my dreams and waking thoughts ever since. I feel that I am on a long voyage with glass, always learning, and with always so much yet to learn.
