If I'm not sat at the wheel making my coastal inspired pots, you'll find me swimming in the sea.

I have always been a creative person and worked as a designer for many years before my children came along and we moved back to the homeland of Cornwall. Over the past few years, with the uncertainty of life as it was for us all, I found that I had the luxury of time to paint, make and create. Rekindling my creative desires I soon found my art back for sale in galleries across Cornwall. Something I had always wanted to work with was clay, I love the organic nature of clay and started creating my rockpool inspired tiles. I had always admired was the use of porcelain and I found that it was the perfect medium to work with for these tiles. In the early part of 2022 I signed up to take an 'Introduction to ceramics' a 4 week evening class, to get to know the processes a bit better. Here I found my love of throwing and my natural home was sat a the wheel. My makes are inspired by the coast, sea and rocks. Being an all year round sea swimmer, I sea the sea at it's most beautiful in the height of the summer, yet its ever changing colour, light and tides, even on the dullest of days it can still be an inspiration.

I live in the wonderful village of Tywardreath on the south coast of Cornwall, close to some beautiful beaches in the St. Austell bay, many of which I swim at daily. I am married to the wonderfully supportive Malc and we have 3 children and a brown dog called Mavis.
