A lockdown hobby that got out of hand.....

My maker's hallmark is in the shape of a little TIE fighter from Star Wars and this fills me with joy everytime I see it.

I have made costume for years now, both for fun and professionally, but during lockdown I became enthralled with silver work. I don't tend to do anything by halves and ended up with so many pieces that I thought I had better start selling them! I registered for hallmarking, and here I am! I am completely self taught, having picked up just a few basic techniques from books. Trial and error and experimentation have always been my favourtie methods of learning.

I love working with natural forms, and capturing things that might otherwise be lost or transient at best. Anything that lets me capture the idea of time - I also love working with seaglass because of all the moments and travels that lead up to the piece in your hand.

I don't have any cats, but I've got a very noisy parrot!
