One of a kind handmade gifts

Hello my name is Helen and welcome to my shop. I am a 39 year old mum who likes to create. I do a bit of crochet a bit of sewing and a bit of jewellery making. A bit of every thing really. I am always trying a new craft of some kind just to see if I like it or not.

I started a few years ago when my youngest two children were at home during the day. It started more as something to do in the afternoon when they were having a nap. I started off buying a small jewellery making kit and some beads to see if I enjoyed making necklaces. I did I now have a large collection of beaded necklaces, earrings and bracelets. My youngest daughter also has a large collection of bracelets thanks to me. At night time I will quite happily sit when all the children have drifted off into their bedrooms and it's just me and my husband crocheting my latest project. I have made scarves, hats, gloves, pin cushions, toys, bags and a face cloth. I would like my next project to be a pair of socks.

My family consists of me, my husband of 9 years, 3 girls and 3 boys. We also have a cat who thinks he is child number 7, 2 giant African land snails 6 baby garden snails and a very intelligent gold fish named Kit.

We all live in a house in a rural village 20 miles away from the town but the views of the hills from my house are breathtaking and I realise every day how lucky I am to live in such a wonderful place with a great family.
