Contemporary Jewellery and Object Designer/Maker

I am a designer and maker of jewellery and objects. My work predominantly focuses on the texturing and colouring of metal. My pieces have elements of narrative and concept, whilst staying true to my aesthetic roots.

I believe that jewellery doesn't have to be shiny, and in some cases shouldn't be, therefore challenging the common perception of jewellery being precious and beautiful. My works evoke a sense of interaction and playfulness within the viewer.

I predominantly use silver and copper, with hints of gold - along with sapphires, rubies and glass to create alternative jewellery with a rustic and purposely unrefined aesthetic. Taking inspiration from my immediate environment, I use found objects and visual stimuli to drive my experimentation. I love texture and colour, and am fascinated by "maker's marks" showing the rawness of my craft. (I do also love a super shiny finish occasionally though!)
