An inky fingerprint plus a few brushstrokes and a new character takes shape. From these unique prints, I have created a range of illustrated ceramics and stationery celebrating individuality and diversity. Meet friends from around the world; Mohan from Nepal, Angelique from Guadeloupe, Jon from North Shields plus many, many more!

Ceramics:
My original drawings are painted with glaze directly on to ceramic tiles, with no pre-drawing it takes a steady hand! The tiles are fired here in Suffolk and the finished designs sent to Stoke-on Trent where they are photographed and turned into lithographs. These are then applied by hand onto beautiful fine bone china cups, plates and bowls. The plates particularly, are a talking point around the table, people often comment 'Oh he looks like my cousin' or 'She reminds me of a friend I went to school with'! Each piece is a lovely way to bring people together.

Cards and Prints:
Using my own fingerprint as a starting point I use a pen or brush and a little Indian ink to create a new character. Each is named for the card designs and I spend time researching where they are from and writing a few sentences to sum up their personality. These few words are discreetly printed on the inside of the card. The cards are printed in Suffolk in small batches. Sometimes, instead of people, I draw animals. Creating handmade cards, each one a gift for someone special.
