I'm a wild person. I grew up in the wild landscapes of rural Northumberland, in a small cottage, collecting firewood to keep warm in the winter and spending my summer holidays exploring castles, Roman forts grand country houses with my mum and brothers. As I grew up, I spent more time roaming free than I did studying for school.
I now live in the Scottish Borders and my surroundings inspire me endlessly! I have been making jewellery for four years now, soon after I left school. I recently discovered a new technique called 'sand casting' which has taken me on a new adventure. It is an ancient casting method which involves making moulds from nothing but sand and a little clay; it is now how I form most of my work here at Fera Rosa. My designs are influenced by those hours spent in the wilds hills and woods as well as the many trips to those historic places. I enjoy the intimate nature of crafting a piece of jewellery. Every piece I make is special, unique and made with heart and the soul.
