I have a small flock of pedigree Gotland sheep which are kept for their fleece. They produce a high quality, soft and lustrous fleece with long curls. Their fleece is ideal for both spinning and felting, producing soft, lightweight wool. Ewe fleece is usually 29 - 34 microns, with lamb fleece giving a very soft and fine mid 20 microns.
The fleece is processed on our farm by me, in small batches. It is sensitively hand washed and available in natural shades of grey, or batch dyed into both subtle and vibrant colours. I offer for sale curled locks in small quantities from 100g to larger whole fleeces, and all in between. I also process the wool on-site to produce carded batts and combed tops. I also plan to have some hand spun art yarn available soon.
I produce a range of felting kits and supplies for both needle and wet felting.
