Blind in one eye fine art photography

When I was fifteen year old I started my journey with an entirely manual camera that weighed as much as a house brick, and in an actual darkroom with chemicals and everything.

I went on to study under the legendary John Blakemore at the University of Derby in the early 90s, and from there ignored photography almost entirely for a decade or so. Really not sure how that happened, but I was working as an actor and writer, so probably that.

After losing the sight in my right eye (thank you optic neuropathy!), the way I make photographs has changed, which has sent me off in a whole new direction.

My work can be by turns dark, unsettling, pictorial, and whimsical.

It's not for everyone, but it might be for you.
