Unique and colourful Aluminium Jewellery, depicting Butterflies, Flowers and Birds. Lightweight and Joyful!

I love working with my hands, so sculpture and the decorative arts have always interested me. I studied jewellery in local evening classes and enjoyed making forms from raw metal, being connected to a world of traditional tools and techniques. I trained in classical fine jewellery at Birmingham School of Jewellery, gaining a Distinction, and reached the UK Final of the World Skills Jewellery competition.

One side of my work is crafting intricate silver jewellery set with colourful and unusual gemstones. I exhibit in three galleries in Birmingham, Cambridge and London, and British Museum Grenville Room.

While thinking about exotic ways to colour metal, I discovered interesting possibilities with anodised aluminium. It just seems the right material to make joyful images of natural and organic beauty.

I work out of a small studio just outside Cambridge.
