Hello, I'm Sue - the artist behind Created by Sue. I'm inspired by colour, shapes, botanical lines and the way nature quietly shows off when you're paying attention. Most of my ideas arrive when I'm out walking, staring at leaves, or admiring plants, the majority of which I definitely couldn't name in a quiz.
I started making stationery and artwork after years of dabbling in all sorts of creative things. Eventually I realised that drawing, colour and clean design were the things that made me happy and that I always came back to. One day I made a card "just to see how it would turn out"...and I've been creating ever since.
I work from my home studio in Lincolnshire - a small, calm space filled with pencils, paper and mugs of tea that mysteriously go cold the moment I get into the flow. No pets here unless you count the birds I can see on the birdfeeder outside my studio window or the baby frogs we have in our pond for the first time in five years.
I make botanical stationery, modern greeting cards and original artwork in oil pastel, ink and mixed media. Everything is designed, made and packed by me, then my poor suffering husband Barry, does the Post Office runs for me, for which he is paid with sweets and cakes!!

I bought this for my sister in law for Christmas. We go on holiday to the coast every summer and this just reminded me of the places we visit. I love the gorgeous details and lovely colours on these little seaside cottages.
