Welcome to my Folksy shop.
My great passion is nature in all her forms . I try through my artwork to give a feeling of the beauty and mystery of landscapes animal and birds .
Using natural products is important , so wool ,wood ,silk ,cotton and linen are my main supplies .
I live in York , so am surrounded by the beautiful landscape and coastline of the Yorkshire Dales and Moors .
I have pieces at sale price , these are items from older collections , but still beautiful!

Decades ago I was at York Art College, but after an accident, missed a term and didn't return. Fast forward to retirement. Having worked in the family textile business, I had a huge amount of off cuts from making soft furnishing and dress making...what to do with them....the beautiful blues and greens of the shot silks spoke of the sea. after cutting and stitching into a picture ,That was the start, and from there over the past couple of years I have worked my way through different phases and have found a passion for wool felting. I work in my small craft room at home near York , with husband Tony , and a bouncy black lab Holly .
My inspiration is pure and simply the love of nature. The feel of the different seasons, colours and that sense of magic a walk in the country or by the sea shore gives .
I make felted animals and birds in various sizes, using British wools where possible, and some times silk yarn for highlights.
Pictures , landscapes and animals. have a back ground of tweed, cotton or linen , using fabrics, machine and hand stitching.
