Hello, and thank you for dropping by! My name is Gerard and I am currently living in medieval Wiltshire, with my beautiful wife and our five wonderful, children! Oh, and our wee dog, Star. My passion for wood began as a young lad in Ireland but it was not until my mid years that I began to explore it again.
Skills were honed through the knowledge of local bodgers, fellow crafters and the teachings of Wille Sundqvist: and, honestly, much trial as I navigated those learning curves. I am still enjoying learning new techniques as I seek to add to our store. At Celtic Heartwood we are passionate about wood. Using traditional tools and time honoured techniques, we handcraft our ware from ethically sourced local green woods.
Handcrafted with utmost care, and attention to detail, we believe we meet our aim of "Revealing the Beauty Within", creating bespoke woodware to grace any home. The beauty of each piece is not only its functionality but also its artistic value. It is happy when used for either!
By following grain patterns and natural features of the wood, its individual characteristics are enhanced, especially after our drying and oiling process.
