I love to play with pattern and print using different techniques.

I trained as an architect, changed track after 4 years out of 7 and went travelling for 18 months to Australia and San Francisco. Upon returning, I went into retail design and then art and design lecturing, specialising in teaching interior design to mature students.

I love teaching pattern and print and exploring different techniques, and am currently focused on lino printing and using encaustic wax. Encaustic art is creating by melting coloured bees wax onto a hot iron and then applying it onto coated paper. Every piece is unique and has beautiful depth and texture. Lino printing is great fun as every print is unique in terms of colour and often has it's own textural element. Carving the lino is very therapeutic, especially when accompanied by a large glass of red wine...

I produce most of my work on the dining table at home, much to my family's frustration!
