Here are some things just listed by other crafters and sellers on Folksy.
Inspired by a handmade gift from Auntie Gail, a Christmas Neck Warmer with reindeers on one side and fleece on the other, Caroline (ably nudged by her husband and children) decided to see if others would like the concept as much as we did. Already working from home part time for a Charity as a Clerk to Trustees there was a smidge of space in our already busy week to see what we could do.
Bubbling Juniper was formed at the end of February 2021 (cold or what?) to test the waters. Selling on Etsy became the first challenge, now we've found Folksy too and we're working on building a website, https://bubblingjuniper.co.uk.
Shopping, overnight and beach bags are the next challenge, something for the warmer months when necks don't get quite so cold but hopefully the weather will allow picnics and overnight stays!
Neck Warmers are fabulous because they don't flap about, don't dangle and get caught in stiles on walks, don't drape in to puddles, bbq's or fire pits, just sit between collar and chin keeping you warm!
If the children (or you, those hills can be steep!) get too hot they fit in a pocket, too cold and they're easy to put back on and give an instant feeling of comfort.
With the recent restrictions they have kept friends warm for evening bbq's and drinks outside. Camping with one of these is a space saving warmth giver that should make you that bit more cosy on a chilly night!
I love sewing and creating, it's a love that has been allowed to stay dormant for too long and has been reignited with neck warmers.
We have an all black cat, Typhoon (named due to the mad rushing in circles she has a tendency to do!) and she keeps me company whilst I sew. Occasionally I have to stop for a cuddle as Ty needs a regular cuddle top up!
