Lesley Bermingham is the designer/maker of Bloomfield Studio’s creations.

Working from my home studio in the small historical town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, no two days are the same as new creations evolve. Often I’m inspired by the beauty abound in nature, simply playing with different materials or sketching with my non-dominant hand making fun, fluid wobbly drawings.

I graduated in 2001 with a Fine-art printmaking degree, which became an exciting addition to my other creative skills as a painter, textile designer and seamstress that have been with me since the year dot. Even my sewing machine has become a drawing tool!

I usually make small editions because I’m continually evolving and inspired by new things, keeping products fresh and alive.

If you’re looking for a creative activity that is relaxing and rewarding, why not try sewing one of my embroidery kits? I can guarantee turning on your favourite music with a cup of hot brew by your side at the same time is magical.
