We produce natural skincare and fragrances

Balthazar was founded by the coming together of Robin Sowerby and Tima Hamadeh, two like-minded individuals with a mutual love of nature. We have travelled extensively to select the best oils for our products. It is important that the preparations are of the highest quality and that those who use them are happy and experience the benefits of the oils they contain.

Tima is a qualified pharmacist, she has vast experience in the skincare industry, especially in formulating and blending. After moving to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, she began to work directly with individuals helping them to overcome specific skincare problems by blending individual remedies for each person. Demand for her services grew to the extent that she opened 2 spas in Jeddah. Clients were consistently asking her to develop a range that they could buy to take home. This led to her launching Balthazar with Robin.

Robin is a qualified British biologist, He spent many years as head of science at different international schools whilst continuing his research into natural products. He met Tima when he moved with his wife and family to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. Initially sceptical about the skincare industry with the high prices that it charges for well marketed but often ineffectual formulations, he watched Tima at work with her clients and was intrigued by the often life-changing results that she achieved.

Robin and Tima launched Balthazar in the UK in the beautiful village of Silverdale set against the backdrop of the South Lakeland hills. At Balthazar skincare we use natural ingredients to create the most effective blends for treating the skin. Each product is made by hand in small batches with attention to quality and detail.
