Here are some things just listed by other crafters and sellers on Folksy.
My love for leather started many years ago, as a consumer. Whether bags, wallets or other accessories, nothing could compare with the texture, feel and durability of leather. Unfortunately, all I could afford at the time were factory-made leather goods, and soon started realising where corners had been cut, to make the product more affordable, or due to limitations in the automated manufacturing processes.
So I started turning to handmade leather goods, and interacting with the real people, not machines, that spend hours to come up with a finished quality item. And these are the items that have followed me through the years, in all the countries and places where I’ve lived.
Some years back I’ve decided to join the rank of the handcrafters, and learn all I could in the art of leather work. First making products for myself, then for friends and family. Somehow the word spread, and soon I had people that had seen my goods asking me for something bespoke, or similar to items I had made and they had seen. And so, a small, independent business started, creating products that ally usefulness with quality, and are meant to be with you and cherished for a lifetime.
Nowadays, from my small workshop in the beautiful Thames Valley region in the South East England, I keep the same ethos, with quality above quantity. And that is why I don’t use any machines in the process, using the centuries-old traditions and techniques tried and tested for centuries in leather work. Because it is impossible to make two products exactly the same by hand, your product will be truly unique.
Whether you are buying a small accessory or a full bespoke project, I hope you enjoy it throughout your life as much as I’ve enjoyed making it for you.
