Hi everyone, my name is Amy Schuller and I am the creator of Alushu designs!

Like many other university graduates I left with a degree but no idea what to do with it, I knew it had to be something creative but apart from that I was completely lost! (very daunting...) I am pleased to say that eventually I cracked it and now work as a studio assistant for a small company in Stoke Newington which I absolutely love (apart from the horrible London commute) BUT each evening and weekend I would relax by creating paper cuts and then decorating them with water colours. I would create cards and gifts for friends and loved ones because I wanted to give them something meaningful (and by this time I was overflowing with random card designs and half finished photoalbums etc). I had a great response from people who received my creations, though this may have just been politeness! I started to take it all a bit more seriously when I had requests from friends of friends and strangers who asked whether I would create something for them. At this point I was both shocked and super excited that people seemed to like what I am doing. So here I am, giving Folksy a go in the hope that I can continue creating, designing and making!
