Welcome and thanks for visiting my Folksy shop.
I'm Alan Johnston and based on the beautiful Isle of Wight U.K., I'm a self taught water colour artist, and specialize in Animal Portraits. I also enjoy painting various subjects including landscapes, architecture, seascapes, animals and birds. I am a member of an art club and enjoy meeting and chatting to other artists.
My usual media is watercolour but I also paint with acrylic and draw with pen and ink.
I reproduce my work as prints and greeting cards which are printed by my self so I can always check the quality before the print is shipped to a customer. The art materials that I use are all professional grade and my pictures are of archival quality. My other interests are photography, fishing, and as for home life my dearest loyal friend is my 4 year old Chihuahua name Bonnie.
