I was inspired to use up some of my stash of beads, tucked away in a drawer since I finished university, and after some quick sketches settled on a simple cactus motif. Although the process of hand stitching beads is extremely time consuming, I really enjoyed stitching the beads and adding the zing of neon pink.

Full description
A chunky little cactus sits in a neon pink plant pot. I hand stitched glass beads into place, to create a modern textile piece that would look great sitting on a shelf or hanging on the wall.
The glass beads catch the light beautifully, creating light and texture. The beads are sewn in place on a 100% linen background, and framed in a wooden embroidery hoop. The hoop is 10cm / 4” wide. The back of the hoop is covered with a card disk.
A lovely gift for a house plant lover or gardener, especially for Mother’s Day.
Your hoop art will be posted to you wrapped in tissue and popped in a letter box friendly cardboard envelope. Postage is free to UK addresses on orders over £15.
