Turned wooden boxes are such fun to make. I had one as a child and always used to wonder just how it was done. Well now I know and I love to experiment with the multiple profiles, sizes in different woods; the possibilities are endless! A friend asked me to make her a pot to put her daughter’s teeth in.

Full description
Made from locally grown Beech that is slightly spalted. The box is a perfect size to for a tooth fairy to collect the precious milk teeth from and big enough to leave a small deposit!
After turning the wood I have sanded the box perfectly smooth, sealed it and then used natural Carnauba wax inside and out before buffing the box to a beautiful high sheen. The lid has been stained and liming waxing has been used to highlight the writing.
