A superb little, highly polished, round shaped Keyring, or handbag charm, which has a lovely little fossil ammonite at its centre.
The ammonite fossil is from the Jurassic period and is approximately 180 million years old and is securely embedded in the warm russet brown bed rock.
The little stone in which this fossil is located has been shaped into an irregular circle and highly polished on the front and left unpolished on the back, making it a very tactile item.
A small hole has been drilled on the top, into which has been placed silver tone keyring findings.
The fossil ammonite portion alone in general measuring approx 4cms in length, approx 4cms in width and approx 4mms in depth.
The ammonite, with its inward spiral shape always reminds me of life’s endless journey, chapter after chapter, and this would make a wonderful gift for an anniversary, as a token of love or friendship. An ideal gift for either a lady or a gent, young or old alike!
As this keyring is a natural fossil and stone item, although strong it is not unbreakable, so not for robust use.
