Meet the maker Angela Finch

I create beautiful, unique handcrafted jewellery. I use genuine gemstones a lot, and this makes every piece individual.

I am a chartered librarian. I started making jewellery when I was on my honeymoon. We were on a cruise and there was a jewellery making workshop, and I really enjoyed it. When we got home I started making jewellery and everyone I knew suddenly started getting it for their birthdays.

I was made redundant in May 2012 and this gave me more time to devote to my hobby. I learnt new skills like Macrame. My husband suggested that I try to sell my pieces, so my Folksy shop was born.

I make every piece with care. If I wouldn't wear it, I won't sell it.

I spend a lot of time on each piece of jewellery that I make. If I would not wear it I would not sell it. I like learning new techniques and perfecting them. I use genuine gemstones a lot because they look so pretty, and I think the jewellery is so much classier with them.

I am a freelance member of the Create and Craft TV content team. I write tutorials for their website, and create items for their instagram page.
