Meet the maker Sarah Thexton

The PhotoFairytales story began back in 2009 - my daughter had just started school full time, and I wanted to get back to the world of work after time as a full time mum. Previously I'd worked in theatre marketing, graphic design, copywriting and publishing - but I was certain that this time I wanted to not only work for myself, but work purely in a more creative field. I've always loved designing and creating since childhood. It's a large part of who I am, and I knew I wanted to combine my love of art and design with a new career.

My business is run from our family home in Lincolnshire - I work from a studio in our house which is in a small market town not far from Lincoln city. I was born and grew up in Surrey, studying Art & Design before moving to Bath. I moved to Norfolk with my husband back in the nineties, where I began my PhotoFairytales journey. We're now rooted in beautiful Lincolnshire county and enjoying discovering the wide open landscapes and rolling hills - a constant source of inspiration!
