Meet the maker Sally Roydhouse

Hello, I'm a graphic designer and craft maker.

Ever since I was a child I have painted, glued, stitched, folded, sculpted & crocheted. In 2009 I completed a textile course and since then I have gravitated towards making jewellery whilst also enjoying designing surface patterns for a limited range of my own fabric.

Until now my gifts have mainly been available through local galleries although with the high commission fees the galleries have to charge I felt the time was right to launch my online shop, offering "direct from the maker" prices.

In my shop you will find an interesting selection of textile jewellery along with a variety of other gifts including purses & bags, pin cushions, egg cosies, & gadget cases.
Presentation is important so rest assured your gift will be nicely packaged.

Occasionally I will list some of my artwork, greeting cards or posters, and on the odd occasion when I tidy the fabric mountain you may well find some vintage fabric for sale.

My home studio is a typical artists studio, way too small, a little untidy but well intentioned organised chaos! I work in a smoke and pet free environment.

I prefer to accept payment by PayPal. I live on the Isle of Skye and I have to travel a fair distance to the post office so please bear in mind it is only practical for me to go out posting items once a week, usually a Friday but I will inform buyers when dispatch is likely to be. I try to keep postage costs fair but whilst some of my items weigh very little, due to them being over 5mm in thickness when packaged, it puts the parcel into the large letter / packet bracket. I mostly send second class.
I like to recycle where possible so occasionally your goods may be posted in a re-used jiffy bag.

I may in the future review whether I can afford to offer overseas shipping if I find I have any interest from further afield than the UK.

RETURNS. I take great care to photograph and describe my items as best I can for your complete satisfaction. However I appreciate on the odd occasion someone may wish to return an item.
If this situation arises then please get in touch within 7 days of receiving your item. If you can return the item unused and in the same packaging and saleable condition you received it then I will refund the item in full.
I would have to ask that the buyer is responsible for their return postage.
