Working through a 30+ year obsession with African wax fabrics, creating one-off pieces that bring me, and hopefully you, joy!

I have been sewing and creating using mostly African wax fabrics since I was 17. Through my 20’s I was a milliner and clothing creator. In my 30s I turned to children’s clothes and homeware. I moved into teaching but always continued sewing and creating as stress relief.. Having recently left teaching, I’m back doing what I have always enjoyed most.

Most recently, I have been making patchwork quilts, table decor, and kitchenware but am always moving on to new ideas. Patchwork in particular brings me joy. I love how the fabrics sit alongside each other and how no two items are the same.

Many of the fabrics I use are vintage and no longer available, including many I’ve picked up in West Africa.
