Hi,

I'm Katy Jane and I live in Devon with my rehomed dog Rodney(only fools inspired) and my Partner who recently moved in...its getting a little cramped here so we plan to move into a bigger space and somewhere I can build my own studio/craft room.

I'm a Devon gal and grew up just a short walk to the seafront. Art was a constant during my education and I ended up studying contemporary crafts and specialising in metal work at Uni. Unfortunately life got in the way and I have since worked through retail, engineering and now sales forecasting/admin roles with crafts as a hobby in my free time,

I love building things and anything hands on so naturally when I started pottery a year ago, I became obsessed and have since loved the process of learning techniques including wheel throwing and hand-building. I use a community studio just a 5 minute drive from home and am lucky to be surrounded by wonderfully supportive and talented individuals...the banter is always on point!

My other hobbies include macrame, reading, drawing, walking(Rodney isn't fussy but the beach is his favourite), hula hooping, staying active and we love the outdoors. My crafts are heavily influenced by the Devon outdoors and all our adventures. I like to make useful but beautiful items....Every day is a special occasion so lets use the good stuff all the time! I mostly use brush on glazes so a lot of time goes into creating unique patterns and reactions on my pottery. This means every hand made piece is unique and created with all the love I have for where I live,
