Handmade crochet inspired by wandering, wild camping and cosy countryside living

Wandering Thread began as a way to slow down amongst a busy working life. By day, I work in veterinary education and feline ageing research, so life can often be fast paced, emotionally demanding and full of screens, deadlines and coffee-fuelled chaos. Crochet became my way to properly switch off, especially whilst camping or spending time outdoors with a brew and some yarn nearby.

I’ve always loved creativity, cosy spaces, countryside wandering and, unsurprisingly, cats. In fact, the question about cats made me laugh a bit — yes, there are cats involved. A feline ageing specialist owning cats feels less like a choice and more like an occupational requirement at this point.

Everything I make is created slowly and thoughtfully, inspired by nature, campfires, earthy colours and the importance of taking time for yourself. I truly believe creativity and self care matter, and I hope the pieces I make bring a little bit of warmth, calm and joy into someone else’s everyday life too.
