Hello! I'm Vis (pronounced Viss, not Viz!) My pronouns are she/her. I live on the Welsh border with my spouse, our two dogs, and my growing collection of jumping spiders. I am autistic and live with chronic illness.

I mask because covid continues to harm people. If you're continuing to wear a respirator to reduce the spread of covid and help make spaces accessible for disabled and immunocompromised people: hello, you are my people! I see and appreciate you.

I started making mask chains in 2025 because I wanted my respirator to look like an intentional part of my outfit. I found that this increased my confidence when interacting with other people. I enjoyed making them so much that I decided to start selling them to raise money for Breathe Easy Sheffield, a volunteer-led organisation working to make indoor social and cultural spaces safer, more inclusive, and more accessible.

When we can, my spouse and I travel over the Pennines to attend the Breathe Easy monthly socials. Breathe Easy has given me the in-person covid aware community I needed, and has massively improved my mental health. I'm really happy to be able to give something back.

All profits from mask chain sales go to Breathe Easy Sheffield. The exact amount is specified in each individual listing.

I reuse packaging where possible to maximise the amount of money I can send to Breathe Easy Sheffield and to reduce environmental impact.

All chains are made personally by me, often while listening to Uncanny podcast, and always under the supervision of my spiders.
