Mereworth Furniture is part of a Community Interest Company called Upz and Downz. We produce handmade and bespoke furniture from reclaimed timber which is made by our student team of adults with learning difficulties. The students are taught in our fully equipped joinery shop, under the guidance of a skilled joiner. The materials that we use are 99% recycled, from which we produce high quality items.
We are happy to produce commissioned items.
We also upcycle second hand furniture using various paint techniques. Students are taught stencilling, gilding and decoupage to create unique items at a very reasonable cost. Our aim is to teach our student teams new skills which provide a sense of achievement and self-worth.
We are proud to say that we are environmentally friendly, saving on land fill and re-using items that might otherwise be thrown away. All profits made are then used to buy more resources such as equipment, paint etc.

Returns Policy
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Please note: Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken.
