Each custom order will include a bespoke colour consultation, updates during the making process and a final product that is uniquely yours!

Hi, I'm Rachel, a textile designer based in sunny South Yorkshire. Up North Textile Design is a culmination of all of my favourite things, bold colour, locally sourced products and natural textures.

My background is originally in woven textiles and I love experimenting with colour and texture within fabric. I am happiest when I'm working with bright bold colour and chunky natural fibres such as wool. All of my woven pieces are created on either my 8 shaft table loom which is nestled away in my creative corner or my frame loom, which I still insist is my portable weaving option, despite being over a meter tall!
