I’ve always been drawn to the magic of the world, finding comfort in art and the connections it creates. From a young age, I knew I wanted to be an artist, but I was discouraged by my Nanna, who didn’t believe it was a viable career (she couldn’t have predicted the internet!) Despite this, I never (fully) let go of my passion, and today, I’m able to share my work with the world.
I work from my cosy little safe space at home, where I create family portraits that not only capture the living but also the loved ones we've lost, depicted as angels. This idea grew from my own personal journey with loss, especially the heartbreaking experience of losing my daughter, Rosie, who was stillborn in October 2023. Through my art, I hope to bring comfort and healing to others who have experienced similar pain.
Living with agoraphobia due to multiple traumas, art became my way to connect with the outside world, and I’m so grateful to be able to share it with you. When I'm not creating, I’m at home with my daughter, my two rescue cats, Lilo and Stitch (otherwise known as Bogs and Girlcat), and my daft, adorable rescue dog, Meeka.
