Hello and many greetings from The Pyronautist!

I am running this small cottage industry in South Derbyshire, England, along with my long-suffering wife. I was diagnosed as on the autistic spectrum in 2019, which came as quite a shock, but after much research, not really a surprise!

We make and sell a wide range of wooden items, such as trinket boxes, hanging decorations, key rings, money boxes, mirrors, wooden spoons, etc. decorated in the technique of pyrography. Choose the perfect gift, which can be personalised, for a truly one-of-a-kind present.

If you see ANY item, design, or have ideas of something you would like, please do let us know and we will do our very best to accommodate your requirements.

All items are sought, sanded, concept designed and then hand-burnt, using a pyrography tool. They are then given two coats of indoor, clear matt varnish, before being hand finished and presented for sale or dispatch.

We ensure all images are copyright-free, or adhere to any angel policies that might be in place. Please do not ask for copyrighted images, such as your favourite cartoon characters, etc. as we will not be able to fulfil your order.

After many years of struggling to fit in with “normal” working life, I decided a change was needed. I taught myself pyrography, the centuries-old art of wood-burning, then decided to try selling the items.

Within a week, I had numerous orders coming in and I am optimistic about the future of the business.

Mrs Pyro helps out with design, admin, packaging and networking. She has been crafting for many years herself, producing handmade greetings cards, jewellery, books, mixed media pieces and many more items. She also provides craft workshops in the local area.
