Kurinuki pot hand built
The Accidental Potter£45.00
The first time I touched clay, it was a peaceful and comforting experience. There is nothing more grounding than working by hand with raw materials and watching as it slowly transforms into a piece of work. It is satisfying and humbling. Discovered completely by accident after someone suggested clay is good for mental health, I felt an instant connection.
I make pots and sculpture of different shapes and sizes. Most are fired through the 16th century Japanese art of Raku. My sculpture work focuses on mental health.
I hand build all my pieces, and this usually takes several days. Every piece is a totally unique one-off, and never repeated.
I have a gorgeous little pug who offers daddy moral support
