Textile art - using wool fibres, silks, fabrics and yarns to create pictures and accessories

I’m Tanya Rogers and live in West Cornwall and have a passion for textile art, in particular using wool fibres, silks, fabrics and stitch within the felting technique.

Living in such a beautiful part of the country, I am often inspired by the Cornish landscape and the colours and textures that surround me.

I live and work on our family farm, so there’s always plenty going on to keep me busy, but the time I get to spend felting and creating is my real ‘escape’ and I get great pleasure in playing with fibres to create something unique and enjoy the process immensely...felting really is a little bit magic!

I love the surface textures that can be achieved through felting and use that to create extra interest in my felted landscapes and semi abstract still life pictures.

The giclee prints and art cards that I’ve had produced from my original work really pick up all the little fibre details beautifully.
